I just can't wait for my MBA classes to be over. I can't wait to land a decent paying job where I can finally start my life over. No more cases to prepare. No more presentations. No more expectations.

Politicians
I have always wondered why smart people tend to get away with something that most of us couldn't.
Take Miriam Defensor-Santiago, for example. She's smart. And she always get away with statements like "I just had bad hair day so stop asking me questions about my foiled attempt to become a Justice".
She speaks like an American, accent and all. She sounds smart. Talks smart. And she always get away with that stupid accent of hers even though its irritating. And it's not helping Filipinos who watch her in the news to learn how to speak English the right way.
Think about your children. After selling your grandmother's spleen to those who would care to buy it in order to pay for your child's tuition fee, how would you feel if your child starts saying the word attention into "ateyn-shen" and cooperation into "cooper-ey-shen" after inadvertently hearing Defensor-Santiago being interviewed in the news?
Hearing Defensor-Santiago speak can damage the development of your child. Rather than have a future Mensa member for a child, you'd end up having a future politician in your hands.
And that is not good for you. Everyone knows that politicians, whether here or abroad, are generally lying and stealing scums. Rather than ask for P500 to buy books, your child will ask for P3,000 in order to buy books and say that the remainder is for her Countryside Development Fund. A developed countryside for a room will be difficult to clean and you'll end up having cow manure in your living room.
I propose that we sue Defensor-Santiago for unspecified damages that she brought to us and to our children. Nobody can argue against the fact the she contributed nothing to our country's development. If she contributed nothing, then all she did was either spend taxpayer's money on stupid things or she did nothing at all. We sue her either for doing nothing while she is being paid to do something or for doing something that is contrary to public good. It's a sure winner.
Although I don't think that the court will agree with us.
In the meantime, I propose that the news only show her interviews, or any politician's interviews for that matter, during late-night newscasts. This way, our children are ensured that what they hear are good old straight English pronunciations of words and not the trash that politicians are spewing everytime they speak. Nobody believes them anyway.

Union Bank and Lamoiyan
A lot of things happened to me during the week.
On the job hunting front, you already know that I took an exam with Accenture last Tuesday. Last Wednesday, I went to UnionBank Plaza to take an exam and a scheduled interview. However, the Unit Head of the Talent Acquisition Unit was, supposedly, busy to accomodate us for an interview. I ended up just taking the exam and with a reminder to call later to schedule an interview with her. Which reminds me na I haven't called pa pala. Hehe!
One thing that made me smile this week was Lamoiyan Corporation. The company is a privately-held corporation that manufactures consumer goods. One of its main products is Happee toothpaste.
Anyway, they informed me that they are looking for a Production Officer and is interested in interviewing me for the position. I scheduled them for Thursday morning. However, because I was so tired the past few days due to the demands of the MBA Finals Week and the employment exams that I had to go to, I woke up late. Darn!
Anyway, I called the company's HR Department and, thankfully, I was rescheduled on Monday.

Accenture
I have an exam at Accenture today at 7:45am.
Question: What's the extra 15mins for? Why not say that the exam is at 8am? Is it not easier to say that?
Anyway, even though it's that early, I'm still up writing this post at 4:13am. Aaargh!
What the hell is wrong with me? I'll give two months of my expected salary to any one who can answer this question and convince me that it's the right reason. Seriously.
